Guarantee of Quality

Olive oil, like wine, is an agricultural product that goes through quality control inspections by The Instituto Nacional de Denominaciones de Origin (INDO). The INDO’s goal is to make sure all olive oil products that have the DO (Denominación de Origin) label on their bottles have been inspected by the INDO. The INDO, by putting this label on the bottles, insures the origin of the product as well as its production methods and materials.

Currently, in Spain, the INDO recognizes the following DO certified olive oil producing areas:

 

	Les Garrigues (province of Lleida) in Catalonia.
	Siurana (province of Tarragona south of Les Garrigues) in Catalonia.
	Sierra del Segura (province of Jaen) in Andalucia.
	Baena (province of Cordoba) in Andalucia.
	Priego de Córdoba (province of Cordoba), in Andalucia.
	Sierra Magina (province of Jaen) in Andalucia.
